Breast Lift

A breast lift, or mastopexy, is a surgical procedure that elevates and reshapes sagging or deflated breasts by removing excess skin and tightening the surrounding tissue. It restores a youthful, uplifted contour and repositions the nipples for a more natural, proportionate appearance—without necessarily increasing breast size.

KEY BENEFITS OF BREAST LIFT

A breast lift rejuvenates the breasts by lifting and reshaping sagging or drooping tissue to restore a youthful, firmer contour. It repositions downward-pointing nipples, reduces enlarged areolas, and improves overall breast symmetry without necessarily adding implants. This procedure is especially beneficial after pregnancy, breastfeeding, significant weight loss, or natural aging, giving the chest a more youthful and proportionate appearance. For those who wish, a breast lift can also be combined with implants to enhance both shape and volume.

Crescent Lift
A minimal lift technique using a small incision along the upper border of the areola. Best suited for patients with only mild sagging.

Peri-Areolar (Donut) Lift
This method involves an incision around the areola, making it ideal for mild to moderate sagging, while also allowing for areola reshaping.

Vertical (Lollipop) Lift
Using an incision around the areola and extending vertically down to the breast crease, this approach effectively addresses moderate sagging and reshaping needs while minimizing scarring.

Anchor (Inverted-T) Lift
Involves an incision around the areola, vertically down to the breast crease, and along the crease itself. This technique is preferred for significant sagging, major reshaping, or post-weight loss patients, providing the most dramatic lift and contour refinement.

Each technique is carefully chosen based on breast size, degree of sagging (ptosis), skin elasticity, and the patient’s desired results to ensure a tailored, natural-looking outcome.

FAQ's

How long does breast lift surgery take?
The procedure typically takes 2 to 3 hours under general anesthesia, depending on the technique and the degree of correction required.
Most patients return to work within 7–10 days and can resume light exercise after about 2 weeks. Full healing usually takes around 6 weeks, with gradual improvement in comfort and mobility along the way.
Lifting and reshaping effects are visible immediately, though swelling and healing continue to refine the results over 2–3 months. With a stable weight and proper breast support, results are long-lasting.
A breast lift is best suited for women whose breasts have lost firmness or begun to sag due to age, pregnancy, or weight fluctuations. Candidates often notice nipples pointing downward or falling below the breast crease. Those who are in good health, non-smokers, and realistic in their expectations are excellent candidates.
Breast lift surgery is safe and widely performed, but like any surgery, it carries risks. Temporary swelling, bruising, numbness, or changes in nipple sensation are common. Scarring may occur but is usually well-placed and fades over time. Rarely, patients may experience minor asymmetry, delayed healing, or infection.
